Biography / Administrative History:

  • The bulk of the school records date to the postwar period, given many files originally stored in the Bute Street campus were destroyed or missing after the WWII. The school reopened on 1 Nov 1945 after part of the building was occupied by PWD and and part by RAF.

Scope and Content:

  • Besides the heritage items dating to the early 19th century, the school records are mainly from the early 20th century concerning all aspects of school life, from curriculum to sports, the House system, to the student clubs. These include a set of register of boys who had studied at Ying Wa College from 1 Nov 1945 to 2006.
